Northwest Middle School

Northwest Middle School is a public middle school in the Salt Lake City School District, located at 1730 West 1700 North in Salt Lake City, Utah. The school currently serves grades 7 and 8 following a district-wide reconfiguration of Salt Lake City middle schools that moved sixth graders out of several campuses. Its mascot is the Warriors, and its mission statement describes an inclusive community of learners and leaders. Northwest enrolled 542 students in the 2024-2025 school year with a student to teacher ratio of about 15 to 1, based on federal National Center for Education Statistics data. Andrea Seminario serves as principal. The school’s own website lists an After School Program and an Extended Learning Program (ELP) among its offerings. Families in Salt Lake City living near the school’s boundary generally attend Northwest, though the district also allows open enrollment at other district middle schools.
