Innovations Early College High School was a public high school in Salt Lake City, Utah, run by the Salt Lake City School District on the Salt Lake Community College South City campus. Opened in 2012, it used a self-paced, mentor-guided blended-learning model built on the Canvas platform, letting students build individual schedules that combined digital coursework with early-college classes at Salt Lake Community College and career and technical courses at the district’s Career and Technical Center. Enrollment was 157 students in the 2024-25 school year, and the school held a GreatSchools rating of 2 out of 10. On December 2, 2025, the Salt Lake City Board of Education voted to close Innovations at the end of the 2025-26 school year, citing declining district enrollment; the roughly 52 remaining students were transitioned to other Salt Lake City high schools through open enrollment for the 2026-27 school year. As of this record’s research date, Innovations should be treated as closed rather than currently operating.
