Horizonte Instruction and Training Center

Horizonte Instruction and Training Center is an alternative public school and adult education center operated by the Salt Lake City School District in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rather than a standard comprehensive high school, Horizonte serves at-risk and returning youth in grades 7 through 12, most of them in grades 11 and 12, alongside a separate Adult High School, GED, and English Language Learner program for adult students. It runs sites across the city, including its main downtown campus, a Rose Park location, the Youth in Care program, the residential Odyssey House site, a South City site offering individualized support, and live remote instruction. Enrollment in the K-12 program was 259 students in the 2024-25 school year, with a graduation rate of about 30 percent, reflecting its role as a second-chance and transition program rather than a traditional feeder high school. Horizonte holds a GreatSchools rating of 2 out of 10. The school is led by Principal Moliki Mulitalo and is located at 1234 South Main Street in Salt Lake City.
