Hillside Middle School is a public middle school in the Salt Lake City School District, located at 1825 South Nevada Street in the Sugar House area of Salt Lake City, Utah. The school serves grades 7 and 8 and calls itself Home of the Huskies. Hillside moved into a new campus building in January 2010, reported at the time as the Salt Lake City School District’s first nationally certified green building, and the building later earned LEED for Schools Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. In the 2024-2025 school year Hillside enrolled 485 students with a student to teacher ratio of about 21 to 1, according to federal National Center for Education Statistics data. JaNeal Rodriguez serves as principal. Most students living within the Nibley Park School boundary attend Hillside for grades 7 and 8, alongside students from across Salt Lake City who open enroll from other neighborhoods.
