Glendale Middle School

Glendale Middle School is a public middle school in the Salt Lake City School District, located at 1430 West Andrew Avenue in the Glendale neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. The school serves grades 6 through 8 and uses the mascot the Lynx, with a stated motto of We Are the Glendale Chain, Every Lynx Matters. In the 2024-2025 school year Glendale enrolled 678 students with a student to teacher ratio of about 18 to 1, according to federal National Center for Education Statistics data. Ashley McKinney serves as principal. The school’s own website lists an After School Program and a Counseling Center among its student support offerings. Glendale is one of several Salt Lake City School District middle schools, alongside Clayton, Bryant, Northwest, and Hillside, that families in the area may choose through open enrollment.
