Tsunami Restaurant and Sushi Bar, Sugarhouse

Tsunami Restaurant and Sushi Bar holds down 2223 Highland Dr in Salt Lake City’s Sugar House neighborhood, one of five locations the locally owned group has grown along the Wasatch Front since opening in 2002. The pitch is simple: fresh, local, fun.

The menu covers rolls, nigiri, and Japanese kitchen plates, with a drink program that takes its beer, cocktails, and tea seriously. The patio adds summer capacity, and fast service keeps lunch practical.

The room runs Tuesday through Sunday, with online ordering handling takeout so there’s no need to call. Private events, gift cards, and a VIP program round out the operation.

Wheelchair access covers entrance, parking, restroom, and seating, and a sibling location on 900 South serves the other side of Salt Lake City.
