About the Thanksgiving Point

Thanksgiving Point is a 155-acre nonprofit campus of gardens, museums and family attractions in Lehi, roughly 30 miles south of Salt Lake City along the I-15 corridor. It operates as a 501(c)(3) organization with a stated mission of cultivating wonder and a lifelong love of learning, and it draws families from across the Wasatch Front rather than serving Utah County alone.

The property is really several destinations under one name. Ashton Gardens covers formal garden rooms and a waterfall, and holds the Tree of Life bronze sculpture exhibit. The Museum of Ancient Life is built around dinosaur skeletons and paleontology exhibits, while the Museum of Natural Curiosity leans into hands-on science with hundreds of interactive stations. Butterfly Biosphere keeps free-flying butterflies and insects under glass, and Curiosity Farms puts visitors next to livestock and crops.

Beyond the museums there is a carousel, a golf course, and Mountain America Jurassic Jungle. Education is a large part of the operation: field trips, summer day camps, daily STEM discovery programs, youth and teen programming and school outreach all run out of the same campus. Memberships cover unlimited admission across the property.

The events calendar is what pulls repeat visits. Spring brings the Tulip Festival to Ashton Gardens, late summer brings Garden of Quilts, and autumn turns the fields over to the Scarecrow Festival and to Cornbelly’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest, which has run at this location since 1996.

Thanksgiving Point is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 8pm, with individual venues keeping their own shorter hours, and it is closed Sundays. Parking is free in the main lots, with paid parking during some large events. Entrances, parking and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Call (801) 768-2300 or check thanksgivingpoint.org for venue hours and ticketing, since admission is sold per venue as well as by combination pass.
