From Scratch

From Scratch occupies 62 E Gallivan Ave in the middle of downtown Salt Lake City, a locally owned independent restaurant whose stated premise is making everything in house, starting with bread baked daily.

The menu runs American with small plates, healthy options, organic dishes, and vegan and vegetarian choices sitting next to the comfort food. Dessert is made on the same principle.

Cocktails draw regular mention, and the bar also pours beer, wine, and hard liquor. Catering, takeout, and delivery extend the kitchen for groups and nights at home.

Hours run Monday through Saturday from late morning, closing at nine on weeknights and ten on Friday and Saturday.
