The hotel stands on Jimmy Doolittle Road, a short street in the commercial pocket that surrounds Salt Lake City International Airport on the city’s west side. It sits just off Interstate 80, which puts the property within a few minutes of the terminal and roughly seven miles west of downtown Salt Lake City. Travelers arriving late or catching an early departure trade a central address for a short run to the gate.

The building carries a longer history than its current sign suggests. It operated for years as the Super 8 Salt Lake City Airport, and several third-party booking sites still file it under that former name. IHG converted it to Garner, a midscale conversion brand the company launched in August 2023 for existing hotels rather than new construction. What stands there now is a motel-scale property of about 75 rooms operating under a national brand standard.

The amenity list is short and practical. A complimentary shuttle runs to the airport terminal and hot breakfast is included. The indoor pool and hot tub are closed for renovation, with no reopening date announced as of August 2026, so confirm before you count on them. Guests also get a fitness center, free parking, free Wi-Fi, and air conditioning in the rooms. The building is smoke free, accessible rooms are available, and the property takes pets. There is no restaurant, and the surrounding blocks are industrial rather than walkable.

Check in begins at 3 p.m. and check out is 11 a.m. Guests without a car can ride the shuttle to the terminal and pick up the UTA TRAX Green Line at the Airport station just outside the terminal doors on the east side, which runs to downtown stations. As of August 2026 the hotel holds a 4.0 rating across 99 Google reviews. Call ahead about shuttle timing if your flight lands late in the evening.
