Whittier Elementary School

Whittier Elementary School is a public elementary school in the Salt Lake City School District, serving grades pre kindergarten through six in the Liberty Wells neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. The school sits at 1600 South 300 East and enrolled about 500 students in the most recent federal count, with a student to teacher ratio near eighteen to one. Whittier Wolves is the school’s team name, used in weekly messages from principal Vanessa Jordan. Whittier is one of the district’s Extended Learning Program magnet sites, drawing academically advanced students from across Salt Lake City for grades kindergarten through six, and it also runs a pre kindergarten classroom and an after school program.
